  1. How is engergy converted into usable energy?
Wind energy is converted into usable engery through wind turbines. The wind blows the rotor blades causing them to spin, which then causes a generator on the inside of the turbine to spin and make electricity.

2. How is this type of energy used today?
Today wind energy is used for powering some homes in the areas that these turbines are in. They also are used for powering power plants were the electricity can be used.

3. What are the advantages of using this source of energy?

  • Wind is not always around.
  • The blades may kill birds.
  • They can cause a lot of noise.
  • There has to be a certain wind speed inorder for the blades to spin.

Wind energy or wind power is renewable.
